Oracle has extended their use of the Database PSU patch (part of the overall) CPU set of patches to now incorporate an EBS Release 11i PSU applications patch which is cumulative. Until this CPU, all Release 11i applications CPU patches had to be reviewed and applied individually. Release 12 EBS were always cumulative which reduce maintenance considerably. This is a significant step forward for Oracle in reducing the amount of Applications DBA support and functional user testing required to apply the quarterly CPUs at the applications level.
