John Stouffer has more than 21 years of experience with Oracle database administration (Versions 6-11) and more than 17 years’ experience supporting Oracle’s E-Business Suite Applications environments (Releases 8 – 12), including architectural design, installation, implementations, upgrades and system assessments in the federal, public and commercial industries.
John was awarded the Oracle ACE designation by Oracle in 2007 for his contributions in the area of Oracle Applications. John was the chair of the OAUG Upgrade SIG for ten years (2000-2010), was the founding chair for the Fusion Applications Council beginning in 2006 and actively participates in other IOUG and OAUG GEO and SIG activities. John was recognized as the OAUG Member of the Year for 2004 for his activities on behalf of the international Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG).
John has published five books on Release 11 and Release 12 and contributed numerous articles, presentations along with moderating and participating in many panels at various OAUG and Oracle events. He was chosen by Oracle to be a featured speaker at Oracle Open World 2004 and was the OAUG Keynote Speaker for Oracle Japan in 2007. For the last two years, Oracle has invited John to participate in the Oracle Release 12 Upgrade Panel as an industry expert and moderator. John was voted onto the Oracle Application User Group Board for 2010 and served on the Board’s Executive Committee. John declined the OAUG President position for 2011 and continues to work as an Independent Consultant on all types of E-Business Suite Application engagements including assessments, upgrades and system reviews.
John is currently working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid as a Strategic Architect for the world’s largest E-Business Suite payment system, the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS). More information on HIGLAS can be found at:

John was also the co-founder of Computer Systems Authority (1993-2001), part owner in Hotsos and co-founder of Solution Beacon (2001-2007). John has been the Strategic Applications Architect at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid since 2007 along with his multiple user group activities.
